As far as I'm concerned, state run lotteries are the equivalent of states actively advertising to addict their populations to the most dangerous illicit drugs imaginable.

@lauren I absolutely agree. Here in West Virginia, the people who constantly piss money away on the lottery are those who can least afford to do so. Lotteries and gambling in general prey on people who don't understand the scam.
