I've been complaining for a couple months about bad eggs. Not rotten eggs, fresh eggs, but eggs that tasted wrong. Some tasted terrible and would leave a solvent-like odor in the room. I love eggs and we go through a lot of them in this household. I usually eat soft-boiled eggs so the flavor is right in my face. Every week I've been trying different brands and types of eggs. Brown, white, fancy, "organic", expensive, everything I could lay hands on. I wondered if maybe I had changed and maybe eggs will never taste right again. Turns out it's not me. I just started a new dozen and tada! eggs that taste like they should. These are Walmart's (!) cage free white eggs in a traditional cardboard carton. Go figure. I'd sure like to know what was up with those eggs that smelled like paint thinner.
