Radio project progress photo.

Next, wire this up and connect the antimatter injector.

@shuttersparks I can't be certain from the photo, but the left toroid appears to be out of phase by at least 0.0001 degree. As you know, absolute alignment to within tolerances at least three orders of magnitude greater than this, are necessary to avoid possible subspace oscillations, and resulting spacetime fluctuations. The last thing we need right now is another galactic phase anomaly that has to be cleaned up in this subsector. I assume you'll be able to make appropriate adjustments, so I won't report this to Central at this time.

@lauren I'll do my best. Fortunately, I have excellent instruments for getting it into perfect balance.

Note that the wiring hasn't been done yet. Once that's done and things stop shifting around, I'll align it. But you're right. The slightest misalignment results in megawatts of wasted power and subsequent damage. Hate it when that happens.

@shuttersparks So does the Council. I'm confident that you'll be able to get this sorted out satisfactorily. Nobody wants a repeat of the Bellon 3 incident.

@lauren Certainly not. Not to mention that I might be killed in a rather ugly manner. I have no plans to die quite yet.

@shuttersparks Naw, no chance of dying from such an incident. Most likely you'd just be permanently phased into subspace.

@lauren That's what I mean. It's the equivalent of an ugly death. I wouldn't be able to listen to your radio program anymore.

@lauren And I'd have to deal with those unpleasant jerks Bele and Lokai. Remember them? Also, there are probably no girls in subspace. Only guys are dumb enough to get themselves rotated into subspace.

@shuttersparks There are both females and males in subspace. It's just a matter of knowing where to look. And my radio segments are widely available on subspace channels, unfortunately the network has a subspace paywall just like their non-subspace paywall.

@shuttersparks Do you expect this to work without any leds at all?
Are there at least sound effects?
Like a reassuring "bleep" or "bloop" or maybe a "ping" or "clack"?

@androcat Funny you should mention that. There are two parts to this thing. The antimatter injector is already done and tested and it has two LEDs. hahaha.

@shuttersparks An antimatter injector without any leds would have been scary indeed.

@androcat Yeah. Have to see what's going on. I might add an LED to the gadget in the photo. There actually is one already, inside the relay, but it's on the bottom and isn't visible.

@shuttersparks Indeed, it can't harness the observer effect if nobody sees it, after all.
