Now that the temperature is in the 60s, it was really noticeable that it felt like steam coming out of the washing machine. But I wash in cold water. I've been showering in straight cold water, which I almost never do.

So I took my precision food thermometer and measured the "cold" tap water: 81.1F (!)

Our water comes from the West Fork River, so I imagine the river must be even warmer than the tap water. Can the freshwater fish survive that high a temperature -- fish that are designed to survive when the river is covered with ice?
