Travel advisory from San Bernardino sheriff for Big Bear residents and mountain communities:
If you’re planning to leave the mountain from Big Bear, here is your option:
- Take Highway 18 toward Lucerne Valley.
Please note: Highway 18 at the Big Bear Dam is currently closed, as well as Highway 38. Be sure to plan your route accordingly and drive carefully! For those who are able to leave, we kindly encourage you to do so. This can help ease traffic and make the journey a little smoother for everyone. Thank you for your understanding!
