Gripe of the morning: an example of the wrong turns of modern life, nonstick pans and plastic spatulas are so much LESS sustainable and healthy for you than cast iron and a metal spatula. New nonstick pans have to be purchased every couple of years (after shedding Teflon into your food for a few years). And your black plastic spatula (which has to be replaced often because they melt/etc.) is shedding flame retardants into your food. #gripe

@ai6yr Agreed. Personally, I prefer stainless steel or bare aluminum pots and skillets. Although neither is actually "bare". It's aluminum oxide or chromium oxide.
