Conspiracy? Things were said before the election that raised serious questions. Was there a sophisticated "foolproof" scheme?

@lauren I guess it's about the same here. I use what's most efficient for me. I'll grab the GUI file manager when I want to see the directory structure and drag things around. But the CLI is faster for most things, especially with command recall and auto-complete.
@pseudonym Although I'm sure they don't ever actually delete anything, just like Facebook.
The government can demand your information from a wide variety of third parties, and it can force those companies to keep the fact that it is investigating you a secret indefinitely.

Millions of western monarchs used to return to overwintering groves in California every winter. In the 1980s, an estimated 4.5 million butterflies migrated to the coast annually. However, the population plummeted in recent decades due to habitat loss, pesticides, disease, and, increasingly, climate change. https://yubanet.com/california/as-annual-western-monarch-butterfly-count-gets-underway-new-analysis-highlights-importance-of-california-state-parks-for-species/
@lowqualityfacts Hmm. Looks like an enlarged prostate.
@kathleenbelew.bsky.social Do these people have jobs? Something to do? A purpose in life? No.
I've known and befriended quite a few "militia types" over the past 35 years and none of them had regular jobs. None of them provided a useful service to society, All of them were full of rebelliousness against the status quo. Why, I never could figure out.
The common thread amongst all of them is "I do what I wanna do. Nobody tells me what to do. Laws are irrelevant. Nobody asked me about those laws. I don't recognize them as valid. So, I do what I wanna do and if you get in my way I'll kill your ass."
My personal belief about this is that we've never had people in society like this ever before in human history. We have, but they were killed at an early age. Today we're not allowed to kill failed humans like we've always done in the past 200,000 years. We have to be nice and tolerate them. And this is a very interesting new problem that modern society has to figure out.
"Border militias" have been preparing for this for decades-the Klan ran border patrols in the 1970s, mercenaries in the 1980s, Minutemen in the 200s. They have been violent, extralegal actors and illegal private armies most of that time www.wired.com/story/border...

@LikeItOrLumpIt That's because you don't have hate in you. It wasn't programmed into you by your parents.
The final two ceiling boards went up today. I had awaited a working plane so the second last board under the loft could be made to fit against the joist hangers. On to wall panels. #CabinLife #Nunavut
@schizanon He can't. Not without changing the Constitution. He's not natural born, he's an immigrant. An immigrant whose citizenship can be revoked.
@lowqualityfacts Won't be much longer and whites will be a minority. Careful what you say, dumbass.
@Free_Press Whoa. Nice! Not much defending coming from that position anymore, I think.
@karlauerbach @lauren And I thought I had problems. Haha. Glad I'm not you.
My recent head scratcher was a batch of inexpensive 74HC595 chips from a no-name manufacturer in China. What could go wrong? Well, the chips are faulty -- all of them. Plug in chips from Mouser / TI and all works fine. Thanks a lot. Oh, and fuck you very much. I love wasting my time.
@dmnelson And now I’m reading that each Congressperson has a bathroom in their office. So, Nancy Mace is just looking for screen time!
@karlauerbach @lauren Hahahaha. I wish I had time for such antics. I don't even have time for my main hobby of ham radio. These days I'm writing software for LoRa projects and having fun. (In addition to my job as a chef.)
@Free_Press Good, and let's divert a bunch of Mk84's that were headed for Israel to Ukraine. They have F-16's now. Let's get the "attitude changer" in play against the Russians. the Mk84.
