*pounding fist on counter* WHERE IS THE EARLY GRAVE I WAS PROMISED

My almost 13 year old daughter had a good idea. We’ve been talking about doing a podcast together - mostly for us to have.

Her idea was reviewing books that are being taken out of school libraries - discussing the content, reviewing the actual literature but also the reasons it was banned and our thoughts there as well.

This is something I think that we will do, soon.

Republicans aren’t afraid of “Critical Race Theory,” they are afraid of critical thinking.

They know the biggest threat facing their party is a new multi-racial generation of young people unafraid to speak truth to power.

That’s why they are waging a war on America’s teachers.

This is fascism. There is nothing "semi" about it. This is not "normal" political discourse, DeSantis is not a "normal" governor, and the Republican Party is not a "normal" political organization. It is fascism.

It's shocking to me how many young people today have never heard of this, know nothing.

Yes, YOUR country, the U.S.A. did this to U.S. citizens and natural-born U.S. citizens who were qualified to run for president. They did it shortly before I was born. In other words, recently. Beware.

Today is the Day of Remembrance for the Japanese American community. 81 years ago today, when I was just a boy of four, FDR signed Executive Order 9066, setting in motion the evacuation of people of Japanese descent from the West Coast and our long years of internment inside ten barbed wire prison camps.

We must never let such a thing happen again in America, and and we must strive everywhere to prevent the forced relocation and mass incarceration of innocent people. #NeverForget #NeverAgain

I have both. One can argue that over the past 100,000 years, dogs and humans domesticated each other.

Then cats came along a few thousands years ago and became our masters.

Marian Croak is behind the tech that enables us to talk on FaceTime, Zoom, and other apps that connect friends, family and others around the globe.

Marian Croak from the Great Class of 1977 holds the patent for Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), which helps us make calls over the internet instead of a phone line.

Marian Croak has spent her life inventing. After graduating from #princetonuniversity and earning her Ph.D. from #uscedu, she worked at Bell Labs-Nokia in New Jersey, creating technologies “in service of humanity.” She went on to work for AT&T and is now vice president of engineering at Google.

In 2022, Marian, owner of 200+ U.S. patents, was one of the first two Black women to be inducted to the National Inventors Hall of Fame. Among her inventions is the text-to-donate function that her team helped create in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, which has helped to raise millions of dollars since its inception in 2005.

Croak also leads the Research Center for Responsible AI and Human Centered Technology at Google, which “ensures that Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning positively impacts users and the world, particularly marginalized communities."

We must prevent, at all costs, the presence of an authoritarian wannabe in the White House. There are two men in Florida who currently want that position and that power. Either would be a disaster for America.

I almost went to work for the Carter administration in 1978. I was considering joining the chief counsel's office at NTIA (National Telecommunications and Information Administration.) I was one of the few people at that time who was aware of the developments that were becoming the Internet and had a background in both that technology and law.

Carter is the best president of my lifetime.

Ukraine has a realistic chance to liberate russian-occupied Crimea by the end of the summer if it gets long-range missiles. We will do everything possible for Ukraine to win this year,- retired U.S. General Ben Hodges for Ukrinform.

Ok thanks. Long-range missiles? Anyone? Please?
