It seems that the #linkedin professional badge for use on our blogs is completely disregarded when not viewed on a WIndows machine! Here are two screenshots of my website's landing page https://siddharth-maddali.github.io
when viewed in #chrome browser, one on #linux and the other on #windows 10. Any idea why this is happening? It seems to display on #edge browser on WIndows as well, but not on #firefox or #brave on Linux (I'm running Ubuntu 22.04 on my laptop). Is the badge missing on #ios as well?
@barefootstache I see. So you figure Chrome is configured to block JavaScript code by default on Linux but not Windows? Then I wonder why the Twitter feed is displaying correctly in both instances, since that also runs JavaScript code...
@siddarthious I don't see any of the content on the right. So until I do a deep dive on the browser on the PC, I can't say definitely what the cause is.
@barefootstache oh ok. I'll look into it at some point I guess. Thanks!
@siddarthious if you wanted a real flex, create yourself a #wikidata entry. There you can nicely reference all your socials and CV.
@siddarthious so after inspecting it on various browsers, partially the right side is blocked because of script blocking. The LinkedIn issue seems like a bad request.
Checked on Chrome, Brave, Firefox, Tor, and LibreWolf with various degree of script blocking.
@barefootstache wow, thanks for all the extra effort! I'll let that in mind.
@siddarthious I suspect it has to do with script blocking, since it also doesn't display on DDG on Android.
