In ~4 months the Advanced Photon Source will shut down to upgrade their electron storage ring. Everything will be closed to users for ~1 year plus time to bring beamlines back online. Will this affect your #crystallography?

I'm looking forward to the upgrades but there are some beamlines I'm going to miss.

Oh hell yeah. @mozilla is launching a Mastodon instance in early 2023! I’m very excited for this. Mozilla is really good at what they do. Firefox has over 200M monthly active users, and with any luck they’ll build better support for the fediverse into Firefox itself. These reforms could stop Trump’s next coup attempt, and they were just included in the spending bill Congress will vote on this week.

Using #vim is easy once you learn a few basic keybindings.

h and l - move left and right
j and k - move down and up
η and λ - move backwards and forwards through time
ξ and κ - translation through additional temporal dimension (if applicable)
ᚻ, ᛄ, ᚳ and ᛚ - moving left, down, up, and right through celestial spheres
𐤄 and 𐤋 - switch deity to pantheon member to left or right
ᛄ - supplicate to chosen deity
ᚳ - challenge chosen deity (dangerous)
:q - exit
