Labels can notably be used as a primitive to build multitenant Orthanc deployments (a sample multitenant DICOM server is provided in the Orthanc distribution), or to support artificial intelligence workflow by cleanly separating training and testing sets. book.orthanc-server.com/faq/fe

How to boost your H-index? Just publish a two-page paper with 72 self-citations out of 73 total references. Elsevier journals will publish it, and it will be indexed under Scopus indexes.

"OpenAI’s mission is to ensure that artificial general intelligence benefits all of humanity. "

That was before.

Now: "OpenAI’s mission is to ensure that artificial general intelligence benefits all OpenAI's shareholders"

Shame shame shame @openai !

Educational institutions of all levels should use and teach #FreeSoftware because it is the only software that allows them to accomplish their essential missions: to disseminate human knowledge and to prepare students to be good members of their community. u.fsf.org/1dz

Top cited AI articles since 2020 were all written by Microsoft, Meta, Alphabet-aligned researchers. Only exceptions: 2 articles by prestigious academic institutions… and the one on stochastic parrots by Timnit Gebru et al. (That really backfired on Google)zeta-alpha.com/post/must-read-

OpenAI, circa 2015:
"Our goal is to advance digital intelligence in the way that is most likely to benefit humanity as a whole, unconstrained by a need to generate financial return."

We want to make massive piles of money.

As the leader of a free and open-source community, it is always a great feeling to discover that some large-scale company uses your project inside their products. Today, a job offer indicates that Orthanc is used by Topcon Health in the context of eye imaging.

Besides this specific example, it would be so nice if such companies could learn to proactively propose their support to the maintainers of the free and open-source projects they use, for instance by establishing win-win research projects, so as to nurture the upstream work.
