covid-19 adj

its interesting that focus group thing that indicates that some significant number of people who are opposed to being vaccinated against coronavirus, feel that way in part because they believe that the vaccine 'stays in your body' permanently in some way (perhaps tainting them physiologically or spiritually) and when assured that it didn't, many became more open to being vaccinated

the difficulty is that short term scientific consensus during an emergency =/= truth.

there's no apriori reason to suppose that the vaccine doesn't have unknown long term effects any more than the LHC would find the Higgs Boson.

In fact the LHC is a far simpler structure once you factor in broader political questions.

for what it's worth, I think for at risk groups the vaccine is a no brainer, otherwise the uncertainties are less bounded.
