“When the Roman Empire fell, it was largely as a result of uncontrolled immigration. The empire could no longer control its borders, people came in…and Europe went into a dark ages that lasted a very long time. The point is that it can happen again” Boris Johnson:
@amerika in fact that is a try to rewrite history actualy that was not what happen

@11112011

in my view, rome fell from diversity plus lots of related symptoms

typical decay

@amerika rome fell cuz debt to finance wars, wich is why all empires fall u no diferent

@11112011

an empire can get over debt

it can't beat internal instability

@11112011

leaving afghanistan was intelligent

forever wars are a drain

@11112011 @amerika Rome fell in part because they weren't willing to let Germanic leadership get involved

Spaniard and Illyrian leadership all had their time at the helm, when the Germans were next in line Rome didn't want to know - so it got sacked.

Lack of adaption, not immigration, was the issue at hand.

@skells @11112011

i disagree. the rot was too deep at that point on too many levels.
