Oof, mom is in the hospital with the plague. Low oxygen levels and dehydration, but seems to be handling it well so far.

I am told locally that family should do everything in their power to prevent hospitals giving their COVID-admitted loved ones Remdesivir, referred to by nurses sub rosa as "run-death-is-near" because of its high adverse effects rate. I have no direct experience myself.

Data pro and con Remdesivir is extant, and I am aware of a particular podcast advising how to get hospitals to comply with your wishes, if need be.
@iskandrian Thank you for the advice. They are saying she has pneumonia as well and have offered her a steroid, which she refused. One bag of saline was enough for her dehydration. Otherwise she is on oxygen, an antiviral, and had been given a blood thinner to prevent clots.
