I blame credit for this. When you had to save and had the money in hand, there was plenty of cheap housing. Nowadays when loans have driven up the prices sky high there's plenty of homes, it's just unaffordable.

@nerdman @crunklord420 True, specially here in Europe. In southern Europe housing prices are insane but there are inmense amounts of empty houses. And also lots of unfinished houses left abandoned

The solution isn't more credit. This would drive housing higher. The solution isn't expropriating and selling for cheap, it would kill the construction industry...

@nerdman @crunklord420 Personally, i would say let the construction industry fall. It's proven here that they were greasing politicians to allow them to build in lands not used for building or ignoring certain laws and regulations when building.

What if we let normal regular people build their own home wherever they want without any form of regulation. Not have huge developments. Individuals hiring maybe some contractors. Building their own shit without the government putting controls on it.
