Why does even the idea of reducing censorship on twitter terrify them so much? Why can't globohomo bootlickers just make their own platforms? They're clearly the majority, right? @skells @crunklord420 Buying a globally scaled digital media platform as powerful as Twitter is a big deal... don't get me wrong. Has more influence than say Bezos buying Washington Post IMO.

@11112011 @crunklord420 @skells is it more influential than having a direct mouthpiece like wapo though? Owning the platform doesn't control what people post just what's allowed through. It may have a larger reach than wapo but will necessarily have to allow trash talk on musks other projects.

Most interesting part of all this is that there's no discernible profit motive from Musk, as far as I can tell. He probably won't ever make that money back, it's really just an ideologically driven move. That reminds me that Twitter wasn't profitable for 10+ years, yet some kept investing in it, implying a similar (non financial) motive from investors at the time.
