I don't believe he is making this move with the intent of making money, I don't even know if twitter is a profitable business, but surely there is better ways of investing 40+ billion usd.

Elon has fuck you money, but I don’t believe anyone invests tens of billions of dollars with no expectation of a return. There’s also far more effective ways to altruistically spend 40 billion.

And I dont think Elon cares about making money, he had more money than he or his descendants will ever need at age 20
