browsers should hash all downloads before beginning and if you already have the file it just says so
i have so many X(6).pdf's it's embrassing

@skells no, I mean, you are exactly right about browser download being stupid. If terminal programs can continue a download, it seems like the GUI browsers should be able to as well.
@skells curl & wget have the "continue download" option
