I vow to thee, my country, all earthly things above,
Entire and whole and perfect, the service of my love;
The love that asks no question, the love that stands the test,
That lays upon the altar the dearest and the best;
The love that never falters, the love that pays the price,
The love that makes undaunted the final sacrifice.

And there's another country, I've heard of long ago,
Most dear to them that love her, most great to them that know;
We may not count her armies, we may not see her King;
Her fortress is a faithful heart, her pride is suffering;
And soul by soul and silently her shining bounds increase,
And her ways are ways of gentleness, and all her paths are peace.

remember when people used to say "well if Alex Jones is really right, how come they haven't shut him down?"

@pleasesaybye and yet they've never salted the earth of a competitor

strange.

@amerika the beauty of sovereignty is being able to ignore the bullshit

not always easy, but don't let them draw your eyes

@amerika
"Civis Romanus sum" - "I am a citizen of Rome"

9 years is one thing.

@amerika sure but a little taste wouldn't go amiss, this isn't twatter

and if you're so sure Griner's a dude you might need to meet more girls

if you're gloating about some poor basketball player being locked up for a decade because they had some weed maybe your priorities are a little out of whack

Lord, I ain't seen my baby since a-nigh on a week
Gotta get drunk, man, so I can't even speak
Gonna get high, man, listen to me
One drink ain't enough, Jack, you better make it three
Gonna get drunk, I'm gonna make it real clear
I want one bourbon, one scotch, and one beer
One bourbon, one scotch, one beer

@dave "full of it," not "full of shit"

just a difference of values , the joy of fedi is the higher class of mutual delusion

@dave > WHEN LAUREN WINDSOR, a Democratic operative working with the Lincoln Project, sent five young people dressed in khakis, white shirts, and sunglasses to hold tiki torches in front of Glenn Youngkin’s campaign bus as it docked in Charlottesville, Virginia, on Friday, she never considered that people might think they were actual white supremacists.

if that's not complete bullshit she has no business being in politics

@dave just when I think you're full of it you root up a gem like this

@dave @skells I have no idea how the law works, but "it's a lot of money" shouldn't be an argument for stepping on someone's rights. Either Musk has the right to privacy or he doesn't (in this case).
