Mostly female, and mostly male and either genders, nore is transgender a gender in its own right.

This is perhaps my one issue about Hubzilla, and anything else forked from Friendica.

They don't seem to get that Its male, female, or intersex. Not ninety plus genders that have nothing to do with biology, and are just redefining the same thing is not how you'd be accepting of trans folk.

The number would be infinite. Sex is a spectrum, it has two ends to it (male and female) with an infinite number of intermediary manifestations.

Also the discussion was about sex, gender is a different, though related, idea. Gender too though is a bipolar spectrum. If people are saying there are 90+ they probably are referring to orientation.

If a social network reflected everything, that would be ... very hard to program. I like the compromise Pleroma did. Justnot list gender as a marker.
