Start wondering if I should use some managed database.
I set up my current database using a LAMP script 5 years ago. And I never touch it again. Of course, no backup too. (LOL)
In the past, I have a lot of time and ENERGY to do server stuff, while now I just want to deploy and forget, I don't want to touch the maintenance thing anymore. I mean, setup is pretty straightforward, but try not to forget what you have done on a server is hard, especially if it's an all-in-one server and without docker. Maybe a few years ago a random setting I changed during debug will screw me up today.
I do have a small linux server in my home, which I maintain it periodically.
I set up this server in 2021, where I know I need a way to record what I have done on this server. I record every service along with the ports and settings in a txt file. It's happy to work with.
But my current blog server? I set it up 5 years ago, and I tried a lot of things on it, try different settings, different service, and I didn't record anything.
You know, when you're young, you just yolo it.
