Questions about PEP power limit in Ham radio.

Rumors said the Chinese Government is planning to downgrade the PEP power limit from 100W to 15W, this might be released in the mid of 2024.

Besides all administrative procedures, I wonder if 15W PEP is technically sufficient for HF ham radio.

I almost use digital all the time. Mostly FT8, followed by PSK31. Sometimes I use feldhell and SSTV.

From what I remembered (I didn't switch on my radio for the last 3 years), the digital mode is a bit more careless about how much power you use. And it feels wrong when everyone is QRP and suddenly you shoot 100W into the air. The analog mode is different, the more power you use, the less noise your decoder picks up.

I still feel uncomfortable with this downgrade of PEP power. I think it would be great to work in QRP, but 100W is an option when you need it.
