Guess why I need to force myself saving some money? Because I can't help buying random stuff.

This week is glow sticks from Japan, 2 USD per stick. It's pretty expensive in terms of being a toy (it's not a toy). But guess what, it's super cooool!

The brand is called LUMICA, and it claims this one can last 6 to 8 hours. There are also skus provide longer duration or brighter glow.

Praise the chemistry!

When I was young, my family was poor, and basically, when I saw other children have those cheap toy glow sticks (about 0.2USD per stick back when I young? When you can get 5 or 4 CNY with 1 USD) in their hands, disappointment is all I could have. Asian, LOL. I guess that is one reason why I'm so excited about this glow stick.

it's still glowing after 5 hours. I remembered once upon a time I got several glow sticks. I was excited just like today, but soon, my interest moved to other things (what do you expect when I was a kid? Focus on something for hours? No one paid me to do that), and when I suddenly realized, the glow sticks died and no longer glowed.

I think that might be the first time in my life that I felt the emotions of experiencing the end of something. This week I bought glow sticks purely because I suddenly remember my cousin's kid was playing with that several weeks ago. So by pure curiosity, I was thinking maybe a powerful glow sticks can be used as emergency light? After all, the power outage is pretty common in my area.

Never thought a glow stick would bring out that much of emotions : )

15 hours and still glowing. But at this time the light is super week, I don't think you can read with that. You can only tell something is glowing.

Praise the chemistry, again.
