"Tried" to setup a PXE iSCSI boot enviroment.
But somehow the iPXE failed to connect to the synology iSCSI target when using Thick provisioning. With thin provisioning, iPXE can connect, but then before the system start loading, it quickly disconnected.
And the nic support is not that good. It can drive the built-in 2.5G nic, but only with 10Mbps. So loading a windows installing iso (~6GB) would take infinite long.
----
On a second thought, installing a windows copy to the local storage is not that bad. Why I want to use diskless boot up in the first place?

This is what I thought when the us government said they were standing with Israel peoples. The original content is posted on a Chinese social platform, and here it's translated by Google shown in the picture.
Apparently, I don't know what happened in the past between those two countries. And I don't have a plan to know that. That might be an unpopular option or might hurt someone (sorry for my Israel and Palestina friends, I don't mean to), but I think we should think more about the people lives here.
I never knew the history of that location. I never heard the name of hamas. But clearly, this is not a game of guessing who you should support. There is a trend for Chinese that they want to label themselves. During the invasion of Ukraine, people label themselves that they support Ukraine or Russia. The same things applied this time, too. I saw people support Israel and hamas (I don't know if he can represent Palestina, but that's what I see on the Chinese LAN). Today, I was trying to figure out the same question: Who should I support? Which force should I support? But on a second thought, I realized how ridiculous that question is.
I'm always anti-war. It's not me to decide if a war is necessary or good or bad, I don't care, it's not my problem. I concern the normal people. I might lose all hope towards adults, but I hold all hope towards children. That's why I keep donating to UNICEF monthly, even now I'm being unemployed.
People, including me, like seeking good, right, perfect things. But please do notice what we ignored during that process. There might be arguments on whether the war is correct or not. That's a totally fine topic, but don't ignore the individual lives when you keep talking big things, or even small things.
This time, I will not support any country, but the people injured during the attack, especially children. The leaders of both forces bombarded civils while hiding in their safe castles, that's not right. And the people deserve help, no matter the nation.
Also, I noticed some platforms are tightening the rules about those topics. It might help eliminate false information, but how do you know it's false? I don't think that's the right thing to do. If you really want a platform to filter the info you can get, then welcome to China.
Unlike minecraft, even after Microsoft turns it into a business rather than a humble video game, as long as it's Java, I know how to shape it. I know how to make changes to it to fit my preferences, despite it might violate the eula or something, the point it, we as a fan community, we can achieve it in a technical way.
But tv shows/animes are different. Normally, people don't causely purchased the whole IP and redo it. Or even more ridiculous, buy the studio and redo it. That's technically impossible for now. Maybe someday the AI is powerful enough to do so? But considering everyone is eagerly trying to be god, I don't believe the AI will be useful.
Long comment about #RWBY
Introduced rwby to my friend.
It's... complicated. The latest seasons are... kind of shit. There are a lot of scenes that the characters can do something effectively, but they just don't. Also the characters themselves are broken. They don't even align with the first several seasons. For example, Qrow, look how fancy he was when he was first introduced. But in the latest seasons? Killed his coworker? With the help from the bad guy? And still be a good guy? What?
I sincerely hope Monty Oum didn't die. But sometimes I have to take it whatever it is. In this case, the first 2 or 3 seasons really get me, and I really like this show. But every time I see what it is now, I feel sad.
I probably said similar words before. I clearly remembered a scene that I was talking about this show with a strong feeling of sadness and unwillingness.
I also sincerely hope the rooster teeth can do something truly right to at least fix the show. But the hope is hopeless. While I still want to know what happened to the characters, I think only the suffering remains.
I sometimes heard people talking about DC or Marvel as a business ruined some series. Now, I fully understand that. I built an emotional connection with the characters, wondering the upcoming adventure that we as an audience will go through together with the characters, but then someone else hijacked the characters and totally ruined it, that is what we called tragedy in China (or Steven may call it failure).
This might be my biggest pity in my life.

I'm a Chinese shitizen, but I generally don't post in Chinese to avoid being suffering from other Chinese.
I'm physically a male, but I don't care how people think about my gender. I can be male, or female, or cat. But if you ask, I'd prefer to be referred to as male. Also, I support LGBT+ people, and I'm a copyleft. I don't think I'm too aggressive in arguing things, but sometimes I do. You should handle it with care.
I post about programming (most time is Java and Kotlin, unless I have a new love), and some random things I find interesting. I also post about my mental health, which is in a stable state of instability, thanks to my parents and Chinese society.
Anyway, if you want to follow me, I'm glad to see you. And, have a nice day.
