Forgot to mention it's a new video from 3B1B. And I'm very looking forward to the next chapters.
DeepLearning is fun, until it doesn't work as intended.
I still remember the first and only time I tried to write a paper on NLP. The main part is not deep learning, but I need to verify my method and compare to other methods. But at that time I'm sticking with Java, so I had to come up with my own network structure to see if there is any improvement with my method.
Then it has a trend to work but not actually working. Given the knowledge I causally gained from watching youtube videos and reading articles from random toots, I think I might be wrong at that time. But still, I don't know what to do to make sure it's guaranteed to work. I mean, the training process itself is a guess, try different parameters and see which works the best. Back then with my poor HP laptop with a GTX 1060, and power went out during the night (I don't know if that's an asia thing, the school will cut off the power during the night to "protect" their student), it's impossible to get meaningful results.
And after I finished, I found I'm not the only one who came up with the method. Almost 1 month ago a big Chinese company did the same thing and did better than me.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Anyway, I still enjoy the way you can sense a word using the projection of vectors. It's romantic, in a math way.

@ivt I got the same conclusion. It's even graalvm ready. Amazing!
Context: For now I'm checking apache commons cli and picocli. Looks like the option is very limited.
Is there any good #CLI library or framwork (the thing that parses the user input from `String[] args` for you) to recommend for #Java and/or #Kotlin ?
In the past year or so I'm sticking with Kotlin and clikt. It's not the best, but definitely not the worst. Now I'm going to work with a new cli program so I'd like to hear some new options.
Paying maintainers who accept monetary donations is a good start, but the real critical thing people need to do is stop abusing maintainers. Stop abusing random people on the internet in general. Seriously.
I know we've all got capitalism brain worms, but sometimes the only thing that is accomplished by throwing money at a project is creating a customer entitlement dynamic that pointlessly increases the stress placed on volunteers.
Ask maintainers what kind of support they need.

**I have a job now!**
I'm a Chinese shitizen, but I generally don't post in Chinese to avoid being suffering from other Chinese.
I'm physically a male, but I don't care how people think about my gender. I can be male, or female, or cat. But if you ask, I'd prefer to be referred to as male. Also, I support LGBT+ people, and I'm a copyleft. I don't think I'm too aggressive in arguing things, but sometimes I do. You should handle it with care.
I post about programming (most time is Java and Kotlin, unless I have a new love), and some random things I find interesting. I also post about my mental health, which is in a stable state of instability, thanks to my parents and Chinese society.
Anyway, if you want to follow me, I'm glad to see you. And, have a nice day.
