While Ace Pro gives better image quality, considering I'm renting a GPU to process those clips, which means I have to upload those clips over the internet, it's probably not a good idea...

I'd still use my old phone to record bird footages

I don't know what comment to give on this movie, but there is one thing I mind very much: from what I thought, the HAL9000 should have some sort of emotion, and it looks like the movie is trying to emphasize that. I generally don't kill people when someone made a mistake. Then why those two human crews suddenly decide to shutdown the computer? I mean, just literally before they came up with that idea, the HAL9000 clearly talked about this issue, and the human crews failed to find the loophole in the sentence: while the software and the design can make no mistake, but it doesn't mean the human who makes this computer won't make mistake. That physical mistake is very likely to cause HAL9000 to malfunction. And to me, it shouldn't make a lot of mess to let HAL9000 know itself.

I don't know how they shot this back when 1968. But I did get a similar visual effect several weeks ago when I thought the image buffer uses RGB while it actually is using BGR.

And I just took a deeper look into the postman.i2p, and... Wow... What can I say?

I didn't get the 77GB version since currently my storage is almost full. But I think the 4GB version is already good enough.

Eurasian Hoopoe! In my neighbor's backyard!

That's an uncommon bird in Beijing.

No, the AI in post-processing is too heavy. But thank god they provided the unprocessed RAW.

New problem: The insta360 Ace Pro has a 48MP sensor, and it's 8K. Currently I'm already struggling with yolo to process 1080P videos. 8K? Well...

Spent 385 USD (2780 CNY) on an Insta360 Ace Pro. I think it's a better replacement compared to GoPro. I sold my GoPro Hero 8 to my friend last year. And while I'm not frequently using that, when I need to record something, I really miss that little camera.

The 385 USD bundle includes a Ace Pro, a screen protector, a 128G microSD card, a converter for 1/4" thread, a clamp (clamp the camera to the bike) and a chest strap. I'd say it's pretty good value, and it offers a 3-installment payment, without any fee.

I really like feeless installment payments, it just eases the pressure so that I don't transfer a large amount of money from oversea and cause problems.

Also, I'm keep account using HomeBank. This month I spent 35% less compared to last month. I think I can do better in June since I don't think I have something expensive to purchase. Both Nikon and Swarovski can wait. Actually they are too expensive that I have to consider if they worst the money. If they failed to meet my expectations (which might be too high for them), then unless I correct my expectation, I won't buy them.

The white glow stick. You can easily recognize color under this glow stick. But the brightness is really bad. The spectrometer didn't get enough light, so you can see the sub 400nm band is really high (an indicator of noise).

Good for recognizing color, but don't recommend for emergency lighting.

Despite I haven't tested the blue one using the spectrometer, based on my experience (and the fact that blue one has the similar initial brightness, advertised by seller), I think the best one is the green one, it's bright, an with some effort you can distinguish color. Then followed by the yellow one, it's not as bright as green for the 10h one, but if you can accept shorter duration, the 1hour one is really bright, although it's hard to distinguish blue and green. Then is white one, unless you really need to see different colors, otherwise don't use that for emergency lighting. It's dark and your color vision doesn't work until you zoom in very close (less than 10 cm).

The not recommended one is blue. It actually distracts your eyes since blue lights are high energy.
