Ok. Whoever, for whatever reason, it's the big asshole who started the war. The people will suffer.

I Stand With Ukraine.

And I still cannot boot Linux (openSUSE Leap 15.3) on this razer laptop, due to the `can't change power state from D3cold to D0 (config space inaccessible)` thing.

I guess that's something related to the bios implementation, in which razer only supports windows and cuts the corner.

Replaced the battery in my razer laptop. Instead of paying official stuff for ~150 USD, I purchased a compatible battery with ~50 USD and replaced it myself.

I'll call it a huge save, though it's not an official replacement.

I hope recycling the old battery won't cost me another 50 USD.

This movie reminds me a game called Everything, which I didn't understand too.

I felt there are something in the movie, which is the director want to tell to the audience, but it's too abstract for a programmer XD

The third screenshot also reminds me the game The Sinking City, a Cthulhu themed game.

Just came up with the idea of using NFTs as software licenses. Of course you cannot stop people from messing around your binary distro, but you can easily verify if someone is legally using the produce, since all licenses are on the blockchain, and they can't fake. You can request the company to sign a unpredictable string to prove that they actually control the wallet which own those license NFTs.

Apparently I'm not the first one thinking about that. But it's the most useful usage about NFT. Blockchain games are optional, but software licenses are not (unless you're a GNU guy)

My ongoing side project. It looks like IPFS Drive, which I just learned about it this morning.

Anyway, this is an ongoing project focusing on storing data using Merkle DAG, but unlike IPFS, you can save data in a centralized way, like your own drive, AWS S3, or some other storage backend.

Using Merkle DAG might help me reduce the duplications and potentially save me some storage costs when I store 40TB of video files into S3. Some files might accidentally share the same piece. Thus, I can save space. It also can be helpful when dealing with backups. When most files are not changed, you can backup them incrementally.

This is an ongoing project, and I'm not sure if everything I implemented for now is correct. So... Feel free to have a look and submit issues and PRs.

Happy coding, happy meal, happy movie, and happy life.

That's my plan. No one can ruin my day with those movies.

I noticed my Razer Blade 15 Advanced (early 2021) is listed in the full Linux support List. Also, the OpenSUSE is officially supported by Razer. You know what I'm going to do.

A few days ago, the Chinese government defined all cryptocurrency-related businesses are illegal in China.

As a Chinese developer who just got curious about blockchain technology and started doing a blockchain project, this is not my first day being a Chinese person. Still, every time the Chinese government can always fuck me up in an unpredictable way.
