Wrote a simple tool that helping me to check the files on IBM Cloud Object Storage.

Working with IBM Cloud Code Engine, the workflow is pretty good.

But I have to say, the documentations that IBM offers on their website, they are garbage. I have to search through the code to find the things I wanted.

Great, only 209MB of 261GB data is lost, and it might not caused by IBM Aspera.

Still need upload 125GB data, I'll leave it to tomorrow's me to worry about that XD

Downloading all updated data from IBM COS

and found something not right.

A video file gives 5000+ errors when checking with ffmpeg, looks like I lost several minutes of that file, rest of them are ok.

Not sure how reliable IBM Aspera© is, since I'm not sure when that file is being corrupted. I downloaded that file around 2014, and save it to my hard drive, then uploaded to Google drive, storing about 3 years, then I downloaded from google and uploaded to IBM cloud.

Keeping some important data safe from a long time interval, actually is not a easy job.

Finished Hackathon

Start moving my data from Google drive to IBM cloud (Object Storage), already downgrade my google one plan from 2TB per year to 200GB per year, saved 70 dollar pee year.

Currently there are 500+GB data, but at least 300GB of them never have been accessed this year. So by using IBM cloud Object Storage, archived data only cost 0.001USD per GB per month, should be a great deal for me. Those files are like photos, archived projects, animations. They are a lot,and unlikely to be used in near future, but I can't delete them, since I like collecting things, include data. I also found a 25000:1 map of China, from 1945. Definitely useless in 2021, but it's pretty cool to have it.

Seeing someone counting my life in a youtube video is really make me thinking about that. I'm planning living at least for 60 years, and now I'm already 20, 1/3 of my life is passed, and there not much time left(in the meaning of playing all day and do what ever I wanted regardless the outcome).

Life is precious, so I embrace it.

遗憾的是
有钱并不会有助于促进不同观点的共存
反而因为有钱，基于这种物质资源的差异，持有不同观点的人基于不同的成长环境，得到完全不同的世界观和价值观，最终使得不同的观点根本不可能被接受和理解

挨了Rust的毒打

Looked in Neo and IOTA, and tried to develop on neo. Both of them are currently updating the main net.

Based on what I experienced, I thought Neo is live. If you want to develop something on public chain, neo is a good choice, sdk is really comprehensive, and client library's developers are pretty interactive. We had a good conversation and all of my issues are managed to get fixed or have work around.

However the gas fee is a little bit tricky. Gas is generated by new blocks, which new gas is distributed based on how much neo you hold. And gas itself is not reusable. Thus deploying and invoking contract might be a challenge.

Iota in the other hand, is more like a dream. Although it is not that mature now, but from the paper, it's design is really attractive and I call that the future of blockchain. No miner, no fee, though you have to pay fee to run smart contract. But it's more open to new developers since it doesn't require that much money to start with (considering the current price of neo coin). And it officially encourage user to set up their own chain to discover new possibilities.

Another unofficial news is Chinese government start to act to miners(Arrested a miner and force him to hand in his crypto assets, but not sure why). It's not confirmed though, but I don't think a single government can takedown a blockchain. They certainly not understand what is cryptocurrency and public blockchain.
