Of course they have everything they sold. They will store those things properly. But they won't published for free, even if it can make money. The longer they hold those data, the more precious it is. And eventually, they physically owned the data.

That's why I'm super "left" on copyright related topics. We're overprotected the owner, and we're eliminating those creative works.

From the comment, the main character in first section might be 眞帆志ぶき, performed in Paris. But I didn't find any info from the wikipedia nor google.

Also, according to wikipedia, 眞帆志ぶき died of pneumonia on March 9, 2020.

The "creative work" may eventually go into the public domain, but when that happens, can you find a properly stored copy? Can you find any full recordings of Takarazuka from 70 years ago?

This 11 minutes clip from 1968 shows the Takarazuka Revue. But what's the title of the show? Who they are? Maybe takarazuka has the full recording, even the original film, but will they publish that? Of course not. The same thing applies to games.

Companies make money, but they don't care about their consumers. Or, maybe, you will be a consumer if and only if when you pay.

That might be the fanciest email I got about closing my account.

Other websites, even the big companies like adobe, is like "yeah, your account is closed, bye~", or NordVPN is like: do really want to close your account? Ok, your account is delete, you can register again at any time.

But hey, at least they closed my account, and I do get a response. Good job.

Well, generally I don't trust the platform that "help" me make money using my own content. That's why I host my blogs on my own server.

That's different from purchasing service, like I paid BitWarden to handle my password, or paid hetzner to host my server. That is a service, I paid them, and they get money from my bank account. That's simple. I don't like them, or they screwed up, I stop paying them, and they don't get the money. You're equal with your service provider. And you can build more stability by doing backup when someone copystriked you (like how they take down I2P app in Apple's app store, by spamming a lot of fake copyright complaints. If you don't 100% rely on Apple, then you're good/safe).

By using something like YouTube, you are relying on them. They don't rely on you (they do rely on content creators to upload content, but they don't necessarily need you), but you rely on them to make money and keep living in this world. There is an unfairness in your relationship. The same thing applies to gaming consoles, and smartphones, where it's hard to find alternatives and fight back. For example, Nintendo. They really don't care about their customers. But to play Zelda, you have to buy their products. You have no choice. But they can close your account at any time, they don't rely on you.

Never thought closing accounts going to be a chanllenge in 2022, oh, I mean, 2023.

I really appreciate the website that allows you to close your account by yourself.

Maybe, sending an email to request that is acceptable.

But adding a "customer support" on telegram/WeChat/QQ? Why do I need to talk to a person when I just want to delete my unused account?

And I certainly remembered there is a company that does the email things for you, but I can't remember the name. It's the sponsor of some IT related YouTubers. When I saw the ad, I thought who needs that, closing accounts is super easy. Now? I see it's a torment and I definitely need one.
