the right is in a weird position where they've been completely co-opted by capitalism for so long that they reflexively support anything that perpetuates suburban consumer society, but every once in a while they have a flicker of memory that they're supposed to be trying to be yeoman farmers. but then they remember that jeffersonianism is woke hippie shit and go back to signing a 20 year loan for a new truck to park in the driveway of their northern virginia suburban house
