So, by now if you follow the SpaceX IPO you will have heard that yesterday S&P Global decided not to change 'financial viability' rules and 'fast track' SpaceX into the S&P 500 index.

The intriguing question is why? Why did S&P pull back from what most analysts assumed was a done deal?

Is it because of potential legal exposure?

"The funniest possible outcome of the AI mandate era is about to be HR departments discovering that 'sincerely held religious belief' under Title VII has a much lower bar than they assumed, and Pope Leo handed every Catholic employee a written excuse" businessinsider.com/worker-got

@GossiTheDog They aren't just screwing the investors who invest in the IPO. Every passive investor who invests in an index fund that tracks an index that these companies will become parts of is going to get screwed. It doesn't even require that these companies collapse.

The valuation is huge, which means that they will be a large part of the index, which means that the tracking funds will have to automatically sell stock in other companies that are members of the index, in order to reflect the new balance. This selling will pull down the stocks of these other companies, screwing just about everybody.

I think part of the reason Anthropic (who today confirmed they are trying to IPO), OpenAI (who are trying to IPO) and SpaceX (who own xAI) are trying to IPO is they know it’s a gold rush and investors don’t really know what they are doing - neither do businesses and banks - so it’s the ideal opportunity to lock in money and keep the train going.

Choo choo! Governments may end up bailing this out as it’s becoming too big to fail, by design.

According to SpaceX documentation filed with the SEC, Grok will be worth almost the entire economic output of the US (this isn’t a joke).

6-2-2026 Rep. Madeleine Dean:
"What is true is that the President has lied about being on Epstein's plane & the unredacted files prove that.
There's a lot in here. I am shocked at this. There's also this set of files in the file.
This is "Investigation Into The Potential Co-conspirators of Jeffrey Epstein."
It's all covered up...

When members of Congress have to go in and actually unredact, try to find the truth for these victims, something is corrupt.

@spradlig @JonChevreau THANK YOU! The ONLY person who has said that a bullet hit his ear was Trump. And we know how veritable his word is. Everyone points to the NYT picture, but seriously that could be anything, glass, other ricochet, bird shit (if birds are capable of projectile pooping - hey not judging, birds). Just saying.

Rubio: I don't know about the shoes. I mean he gave me some Florsheim shoes, they're actually pretty good. They fit fine.

On Monday at MFPS I gave a talk "An inductive-recursive universe of searchable ordinals", which I am very proud of.

This is still unpublished, I guess because I am unable to break the umbilical cord and I want to know more about it.

In any case, I am quite proud of this work, as I said.

Which is also available at TypeTopology.

I invite you to look at it.

Motion for Preliminary Injunction To Uncover the Concealed #Epstein Files and to Release and Unredact the Rape Ring #Epstein Files

Judge Emmet Sullivan sets June 30 hearing in Katie Phang lawsuit against the Justice Dept, in which Phang is seeking a court order to require the release of more of the #Epstein files.

The Preliminary Injunction Motion seeks immediate relief in 5 specific areas: (1) illegally redacted names and email addresses; (2) Epstein's redacted co-defendants in the unfiled SDFL federal indictment; (3) the missing FBI interview notes of the alleged 13-year old victim of Felon Donald Trump

...(4) unreleased & untranslated foreign language documents; and (5) the redaction log the DOJ was required to submit, but never did.

Snork.
The Dana Institute had a survey on LinkedIn that was literally testing their propaganda phrases for "Math pathways."
There were 7 or 8 barriers I was to choose from to be the most important in math education.
Students arriving in college with poor understanding of math was nowhere on the list. No! It was all about "courses not aligned with their goals!" and a grammatically wrong thing about Calculus path being too important.
These are the folks who say that assessment tests are too subjective so we need to not do them, but look at course completion instead. (That's more objective. Erm, look up what the words mean?)

In 2024, I mentioned Bari Weiss as one of the people trying to "circle-jerk this parallel world into being." At the time, she was heading Joe Lonsdale's faux "University of Austin."

But she has moved up in the world—doing to CBS what Elon Musk did to Twitter.
