@icedquinn Last time I looked the biggest things killing younger people where drug overdoses and car accidents. I'm surprised we haven't banned cars yet, it would have had a much better cost/benefit ratio than the covid lockdowns IMO. (plus driving all the time is really unpleasant.)
@swiley this is also further conditioned on that the % of being the murder victim is low to begin with. when you start multiplying like 20% of less than 1% you start getting to where you're more likely to die to that tub of ice cream but you'll still BE AFRAID REMAIN SCARED
you're not supposed to respond to "look at how 50k women are killed by their husbands!" with "but the prior probabiity is that as a woman you will not actually be killed in the first place, as 80% of murder victims are men, and so this fear that you will die because you are a woman is actually baseless."
