cost plus is when you charge the actual amount it takes to build or service a product and then add a flat comfortable padding to cover future R&D and whatnot.

charging what the market will bear is the new meta where you try to extort the most money out of the market possible.

for example, charging someone's entire salary for cancer drugs "because you can" vs charging the actual R&D costs so you can afford to keep doing it.

@icedquinn I'm always surprised that the clandestine drug market seems to lack things like insulin and cancer drugs.
