I just plugged in my laptop charger but only one prong was actually in the socket and I shocked myself on the other prong.

@jbauer My apartment might be one of the first places I've seen NA outlets installed the right way around.
The building across the street has them installed upside down (I know because I took a tour trying to save on rent.)

@jbauer That's how I felt! Even the Lab I worked in before I came here had them upside down!
It's a good building. Free hot chocolate on the roof, smack in the middle of a mall. cheap rent. I feel like I'm living in one of those weird vapor wave youtube videos.
