@icedquinn This looks like it's going to break after you install the nth package for syntax highlighting in <obscure>ml.

@swiley hmmh. i was reading articles on setting emacs up for writing prose. games need those, the kind i write do.

@icedquinn The vanilla config is pretty great IMO. I use vim for editing but I keep calendars and contacts.

Plus nearly everything supports a lot of the default keyboard shortcuts.

@swiley i'll probably just slap evil-mode and avy jump in and a theme and call it a day.
@swiley something kind of nice with emacs marks is you can use ace/avy jump to a word, drop the mark, jump to where you want the end to be and it will select all of that. makes it surprisingly easy to grab shit on the screen and throw it around.

@icedquinn Yeah the s-expression jumps make me pretty happy. Vim's visual mode can do some similar stuff too (although I always get mixed up because "mark" in emacs means something totally different.)

@icedquinn Oh never mind, ace-mode is totally not what I thought it was.

@swiley ace and avy are for putting the cursor where you want it. i think avy does do the sexp jumps though.
@swiley haven't quite decided on the script format though. being interactive fiction there is some minor stuff like fake choice points and the like. i skimmed over the bullet journaling book so i may use that method for it.

fountain is an easy markup. screenwriters use it.
