Why are DC series so exceptionally bad at science babble?

Series like Marvel, Star Trek and others, they fake their way through by handwaving, by inventing words, etc, or at least stay internally consistent in their nonsense, but DC series like Flash and Legends tend to say real things entirely wrong and be internally inconsistent.

I like the characters and the spectacle, so I still watch them, but it's so unnecessary. They could make these things better by just removing things, by not trying at science babble at all instead of trying and being so low-effort.
