I encourage you to do more than buy local: befriend your neighbors and buy from them. It builds a good network and then they are more willing to help you or buy things from you or support your business.

@retroedgetech Where I came from there always used to be a couple families with chickens that gave eggs away to their friends because they had too many.
@swiley That action creates much more value than the valuation of the eggs.
