@Snowshadow At least you have cheap gas :) Don't worry – were moving to PE/HP in a few months. Just need to survive this one.

@szescstopni

"Cheap gas" doesn't help curb carbon emissions : (
And if you listened to most Canadians you would think we were paying the highest gas prices on the market. lol. (We are not)

"PE/HP" Is HP hydro power?
What is "PE"?
(Sorry, I am tired)

@Snowshadow Sorry that was supposed to be PV/HP, photovoltaics/heat pump. I'm tired too.

@szescstopni

No worries. : )
Heat pumps are very effective at lowering the cost of keeping a home warm. Some people resist converting to heat pumps making claims that they won't work in our cold winters. They are making up excuses to avoid the change.

@Snowshadow No worry. Of course they work in cold temperatures, even air-air pumpd. But we can't afford a ground-air pump.

@szescstopni

At first, converting is a big expense. I have heard after converting to one, the savings are substantial.

@Snowshadow It will cost us a lot, but at least power cuts won't affect us that much.
