@tatzelbrumm That article had a lot of different and really good points. My favorite one was calling the tax games the wealthy play what they are - wealth transfer. I think conservatives do a really great job of trying to paint any public benefit program or assistance as wealth transfer, when really the transfer of wealth is actually flowing in the opposite direction.
The only thing I disagree with as someone who is also an American is the belief in American exceptionalism. I think in a way that breeds the tech idol worship is that because people are already thinking America is great just because. Then you can make the jump to believe I am exceptional just because I am an American, which is I think exactly the Reagan thing about it’s all about individualism and getting rich while not helping anyone else out.
