@birnim@fosstodon.org as an Emacs guy, I know what you are saying (org-mode at my day-job). Just that the ubiquitous webview is a tempting target, and projects like Tiddlywiki and Delta Chat (and #Tauri) are delivering so much out of that + WebDAV/e-mail.
