Low-tech personal media NAS / cloud ⅓
I have been trying to gravitate to a simple system for keeping organized "tagged" collections of photos/videos/documents backed up and lazily synchronized across multiple smartphones/laptops and a NAS of sorts on the home network. Off-the-shelf options (#GitAnnex, #Perkeep, #Epicyon, #PhotoChiotte, #Nextcloud/ #Owncloud, #Synology) all seem to only address parts of this common use-case.

The current idea is to organize content into folders, make private torrents of them in a torrents folder, have #Syncthing sync only that folder, and have #BitTorrent propagate the content. All devices would have all the torrent files, and get the content on demand by triggering it in their Bittorrent client.
TODO have meta-data and searchability .. I had hopes on filesystem #xattr but Syncthing seems unreliable for that. How does Bittorrent do with xattr's?
