Finally a vaccine effectiveness estimate for this season's #flu shot — from Canada. Canadian researchers estimated that this season, a flu shot halved the risk of infection that required medical care. With #H3N2, this year's dominant virus, that's actually very good. VE in H3-dominant years is often below 40% — it is typically the weakest link of flu shots. CDC hasn't yet released a flu vax VE estimate for this year, which puzzles me. The study is in Eurosurveillance.

In the trailer for the anti-vax "documentary" DIED SUDDENLY a video of Florida Gators basketball star Keyontae Johnson collapsing on the court is shown.
Johnson collapsed at a game on December 12, 2020, before vaccines were even available.
