Twitch rose to fame on the back of livestreaming games but it seems practically every mainstream story about a popular Twitch streamer is either about a wannabe right wing shock jock (mini Andrew Tates who play games) or a woman who posts softcore pornography.
At this point I often wonder if there are still popular streamers that are primarily about people having fun playing video games?

Yeah, I think the impression Dare is talking about is mostly about media logic, where streaming is normalised enough that every day growth and events stop making news, but there's not enough interest for mainstream media to provide the type of breathless navel gazing the car industry earns
