New virus uncovered in China – is this a sign tick-borne diseases are on the rise?

After arrival around L2, #ESAEuclid immediately started to produce first images. Both instruments on board worked perfectly. But there were some issues: some straylight in the VIS instrument required survey replanning, sometimes solar X-rays needed to be flagged, and a fix was required for initial guiding problems of the spacecraft.

All this was quickly fixed.

Lately she's posted about joining the After the Fire summit in Sonoma & the comfort that California survivors of megafires offered. The instant recognition & shared experience. My aunt wrote about being gifted a book another survivor wrote about their fire experience: "Today I read the book and just sobbed out all the tears I’ve tried to hold in during the past year; although each of our communities are very unique, the similarities in human experiences, feelings and struggles are uncanny"

Moderation:

- is absolutely necessary
- cannot be automated
- doesn’t scale if done by humans
- is rife with ridiculous failure modes
- is philosophically intractible

I’m increasingly of the mind that content moderation is •the• central problem of the social Internet right now, and I’m not sure we have anything like a solution in sight.

Ofen leave treats in the shopping bag so my kids don't snaffle them and hide the bag in my car. Pop to the same shop midweek grab the bag and realise they're still in the bag. End up paying for them again as I don't want to get caught thieving. Done this more than once.
