@simongray For what it's worth when I finally bit the bullet of with I regretted not doing it sooner.

I now happily use Emacs for most of my day to day.

Obviously your millage might vary. Emacs certainly isn't for everyone and I don't think trying to learn both Emacs and programming at the same time is a good idea. :)

TIL that the JVM has a limitation where a method cannot be larger than 64 kB

IndexOutOfBoundsException Method code too large!

This happened because a name Clojure namespace had around 300 lines of requires......

He pedido pizza de dominos porque estoy de rodriguez.

For day to day note taking I'm just using a few capture templates and a date-tree so it basically gives me a logbook with different 'types' of entry depending on the template used.

I use ox-twbs for quick exports of notes and tables so I can share them with team mates and have them look presentable.

I'm experimenting with GTD in a single large org file for now but that's still a work in progress.

I'm also experimenting with org-roam but still very early days on that front. :-)

Org is slowly eating my life and I love it.

My "delete" folder has become so large that I'm afraid to delete it

I don't know if its because I've been using the bird site less frequently or if people have become disillusioned however I've hardly seen any crypto / meta verse content recently and I'm 100% okay with that.

Cut my fingertip yesterday while cooking and now typing will be unpleasant for a few days... :eyeroll:

I am not a python developer but it always manages to be a fun language to hack things together with. :python:

I've been web scraping bakery reviews and now I really fancy some cake...

Actually getting tree-sitter working in emacs 29 is not trivial.

@trinsec sadly I'm work from home and need to be available for calls etc so can't just leave. Thankful the drilling has stopped for a lunch break! 🙌

I have a headache and jetlag and someone is drilling up the pavement directly outside my window... 😭
