During an errand today I was greeted by name by someone I don't know.
She said “seeya in the hood” so I guess she's a neighbor.

My distinctive appearance and my poor memory for people can be an awkward combination.

Some days my ankles make me pay for years of exceeding their design load. This morning my right ankle was sore, so I got out my cane. Then, as I dodged some furniture, my cane got in the way of my left foot, mildly – or so I thought – twisting the ankle. The right ankle soon recovered to a tolerable degree, but the left has been worse all day!

On a neutral station like Babylon 5, recurring events ought to be scheduled on a “week” that is the least common (acceptably near) multiple of all participants' day cycles

Yesterday in another supermarket, finding no dandruff shampoo other than H&S, I bought the real thing for once.

Today I used it … and now I'm going to wash my hair again to get rid of the scent, which persistently stings my eyes.
