@tonwood More than I was willing to research for this project I’m already spending too much time per day on. :) (As it is, I had to drop one idea I had because it turns out the Spaniards destroyed all the Mesoamerican writings they found before the change point in this setting.)

But if you have suggestions for edits/corrections I can make to my paltry knowledge of history, I welcome them. (Seriously, I am happy to correct errors or add details if someone else does the actual work.)
