The master has an injury on his eyelid. A bruise and he is lucky the arnis stick didn't made it to his eyeballs otherwise he'll be blind now.
They got sparring sessions yesterday with his fellow seniors. The usual activity we also do during practices before I enrolled to the BSEE program.
It is normal for us to get injured during the sparring sessions. One time I lost control and hit his ribs. At another instant he lost control and hit my elbow for breaking and though I didn't feel the pain at that time, it took me 3 days before I felt it and my elbow joint got injured. Months before it healed. At other times like when I got a fresh wound from an accident during my run where my knees were partly peeled, the blunt metal swords we were using were slicing on those fresh wounds.
But now I have a problem. A big problem.
Last time before I went into the BS Electrical Engineering schooling, I was spending Saturday training with the master in the martial arts both empty hands and weapon based.
I decided to drop that practice session because I know my schooling will demand more time from me which is actually the case.
The training sessions were more than enough for actual combat and were focusing on excellence back then, it was more about the actual preparation for the black belt which will involve a 10 man real fight and is a mixed of empty hands and weapons. All goes no holds bar. One should pass that fight in order to get the black belt.
I already removed that plan but then this afternoon while at the gym the master opened up to me about the plan to create a group that will consist of black belts. That means the members all will undergo rigid training aiming to pass that 10 man fight to get the black belt and the master put my name as one of the group's officer.
I told him it's going to be a responsibility which I might not be able to meet for the officer role due to my hectic work and schooling schedule but he said that will be fine.
That means I will be back on martial arts rigid training but this time it will be Sundays until we are all ready for the actual 10 man fight test for the black belt.
@freeschool I agree about this.
