At what point in my supposed adulthood does genuine praise stop feeling like well-intentioned encouragement for the slow kid?
@torq I tend to find praise offensive. As if I can't evaluate my own performance, and I was just waiting for someone to tell me how they think I did? Psshhhh. Specific criticism is infinitely more valuable.

@torq Praise in the form of geniune admiration is a pleasant thing, albeit harder to come by
