To be truly countercultural today, in a time of tech hegemony, one has to, above all, betray the platform, which may come in the form of betraying or divesting from your public online self.

If you don't mind me asking, what actions and statements?
@emacsen
Yeah, programmatic finance, banking APIs or protocols, etc. The obvious hurdle is primarily security across networks.
Perhaps then you might be interested in the @spritelyproject, which is trying to solve distributed finance amongst other problems, using Object-capability theory.

Related, have you heard of #PlainTextAccounting?
We've been making enormous progress on the CapTP layer of Spritely Goblins, which lays the foundation for all the major distribued networked components of Spritely to come!
But... what exactly is CapTP, and what does it enable? https://spritelyproject.org/news/what-is-captp.html
@cwebber
I'm super excited, congrats on your breakthrough! I'm dying to contribute when I have the chance to (and when I understand enough to). I'm slowly understanding the potential of @spritelyproject.
Keep being visionary.
I've made massive strides on CapTP for @spritelyproject and honestly, I think this is the most important work I've done in my life. But it's hard to explain *why* when few people even know what CapTP *is*.
So: CapTP explainer 🧵, right here (with blogpost to follow):

I'm against this.
@dansup
Is it on or off by default?
@dansup
Indeed, is this feature optional?
